How to see Lisbon in a day?

Ok this is not a comprehensive guide but I believe it will suffice: Take the Sightseeing tours offered by the Carristur which is also the bus and tram netzork of the city. It offers a 14 euro yellow and blue line tour which are value for money. I took the yellow line since the blue one is overbooked.

The hop on hop off bus tour comes with headphones and commentary. The additional benefit of using this tour is that you can continue to use the same ticket without the need to validate on later trips for all buses and trams during the same day.

With this tour i managed to see the highlights of lisbon which includes the older and modern part including a short description of the citys history.

Another must go is the castle which can be visited by bus 37 at rossio metro. Entrance is 3 euros but worth the price as you get a panaromic view of the city...

The jeronimos monastery is another highlight which should be visited.

I also love to trawl the narrow streets of protugal which looks like a ripped off set of old italian movies. very lovely.

Gay Pride in Belgian

The belgian gay pride is a ball. Though the crappy interimittent rainy weather spoiled things. I also attended the pride party which is 4 romoms of lounge, harcore dance, top 40s and what they call a girly room i wonder what it means...

I will be going to Lisbon tonight and hope to catch some nice weather and do some resting under the sun and the beaches.

Belgian Adventures

The unpredictable weather sucks. It rains even when the sun is shining and the damp and cold climate makes one miserable. The metros and trams in brussels remind me of one scene in band of Outsiders where anna karina was on a train and talking about existentialism.

It's a city of tourists no doubt with shopping centres and malls. Perhaps thats what i have chosen to see.

Moreover, i'm not quite in the mood for museum or too much art. Though I do like oosten since it has a beach with ok beachlines. Brugge is lovely and aptly termed venice of the south; or was it north? The roads are narrow in Brugge and the buildings look like cardboard cutouts from some shakespearean theatrical stage settings. Antwerp is modern looking and has a nice river running through its city. Brussels is rather drab by comparison and since I can't speak french, doesn't like to strike up a conversation either in pubs.
